Exciting opportunity for an outgoing and energetic individual needed for busy cardiology practice in the Pacemaker/Rhythm Department. Experience with identifying cardiac rhythms and electrocardiograms a plus.
Bachelors required, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Job Purpose: Aids physicians in diagnostic and treatment of heart and blood vessel disorders by conducting non-invasive diagnostic tests, specifically Holter and Event monitoring; maintaining equipment and recording test results.
Duties:
- Registers patients by entering anticipated service date into the patient record; verifying medical history.
- Comforts patients by welcoming them to the cardiology suite; answering their questions; responding to requests.
- Documents patient services by completing patient records, forms, reports, logs, and other records.
- Maintains quality results by evaluating diagnostic studies for quality and diagnoses. Able to evaluate results of holter and event monitor and recognize and identify cardiac rhythms.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.
- Has knowledge of cardiac medications; cardiovascular knowledge; use of medical technology; medical teamwork; performing diagnostic procedures; dealing with complexity; demonstrates excellent rapport with patients and their family, physicians, co-workers, referring physician offices; presenting technical information, quality focus, and analyzing information.
